The latest research seems to be stating that our physical and mental health seem to be determined by our gut micro biome. If we change our micro biome our health can improve. The last nutritional workshop I went to suggested eating raw foods, taking probiotics after taking antibiotics, playing or walking in the dirt, and eating fermented foods in order to keep and maintain our health. I love this little video explaining how the micro biome works however I think this will be very outdated in 5 years.
