Each client’s journey is unique, but a common investment pattern is twenty-five weekly or bi-monthly sessions costing as much as a large smart TV. Sessions run between $130-$170 depending on the duration. Sessions are billed at the time of your appointment, offering flexibility tailored to your needs. 

After completing twenty-five sessions, you have the option to graduate from therapy or choose monthly maintenance. Many clients have found sustained value in monthly maintenance because the ups and downs of life are markedly enriched with the ongoing support of therapy and coaching.

  1. Scheduling: Start by scheduling a consultation at Sherian@BestSelf.Today. If we are a good fit, we will schedule an intake appointment and two weekly or bi-monthly sessions, committing to your well-being.
  2. Secure and Easy Paperwork: Upon scheduling, you’ll receive an email to a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal. Here, you’ll effortlessly complete the necessary paperwork, assessments, and a comprehensive Best Self intake.
  3. Thorough Intake Session: This is an insightful baseline assessment of how much your current situations and past trauma affect your stress levels today. You will evaluate your limiting beliefs, your wellness routines, as well as create goals for your Best Self journey.
  4. Psychoeducation: Learn about brain function, trauma’s impact on the nervous system, and how Brainspotting works. Click on this Brainspotting to familiarize yourself with what to expect.
  5. Tailored Working Sessions: Your sessions will address current concerns and past related issues, ensuring a customized and effective approach.
  6. Best Self Practice: Embrace behavior changes with guided tracking and reporting. Change takes repetition, and you’ll find support and encouragement to amplify your progress.
  7. Reassessing: We regularly reassess your mood, how much things bother you, and your goals to tangibly measure your progress and boost your confidence in the process.
  8. Graduation: Celebrate your achievements in a graduation session, reviewing your journey, gained understanding, knowledge and wisdom, as well as planning for the next exciting steps.
  9. Maintenance: Post-graduation, return for monthly tune-ups or as needed. Your Best Self journey is an ongoing self-commitment, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

To align with the requirements of my California Marriage and Family Therapy license, prospective Best Self Therapy clients must reside within the state of California.

As an out-of-network provider, I strive to offer valuable and dedicated service to my clients. While I don’t directly accept insurance, I provide monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. This allows you the flexibility to choose the right care for you. I believe in the importance of promptly addressing your needs, often with quicker appointment availability compared to insurance panels. 

I am committed to making therapy accessible to everyone because I believe in the transformative power of self-investment. Instead of a traditional sliding scale, I keep my services affordable by minimizing office overhead and I pass the savings onto you.

Additionally, part of the proceeds from my services goes towards supporting the Mid-Peninsula Open Space Preserve and assisting those in need. This way, when you invest in your well-being, you’re also contributing to broader positive impacts in the community. Your decision to prioritize self-care not only benefits you but also plays a role in fostering a more compassionate and interconnected world.

At Best Self, we have a standard and reasonable 48-hour cancellation policy. This allows us to extend the courtesy of offering your reserved spot to individuals on our waitlist if you find yourself unable to attend.
